Members All,
All too soon 1/3 of my year as your State President will be over. The work
you do for the betterment of our great organization has not gone unnoticed.
I attended the D.C.F.S. picnic in Du Quoin during the state fair and
was completely blown away by what I saw. There were boys, girls, and adults
everywhere you looked having a great time.
There were games for all and some great prizes were given away to
the kids. The Marion Lodge has put this on for a few years now in
cooperation with members of the South District.
This was the first time for my wife and I to attend and I certainly
hope it's not my last. To see the members stuffing hot dogs, cookies, chips
and etc. into brown bags for all to enjoy, was truly gratifying. To see
"Elks Care Elks Share" in action was extremely rewarding.
