Enrique Camarena Award 2011 

Each year we ask every Lodge to nominate a law enforcement officer who has made a significant contribution in the field of drug prevention and to their community.  This year’s winner of the Illinois Elks Association’s Enrique Camarena Award is Detective Phillip Rizzo of the Evergreen Park Police Department.

Detective Phillip Rizzo is very active in the support of his community. Officer Rizzo has made it a point to dedicate his time in educating students in the dangers and preventions of substance abuse. Detective Phillip Rizzo name and supporting documents have been sent to the Elks National Drug Awareness Directors to be entered into the Elks National Enrique Camarena Award Contest. We will be presenting Detective Phillip Rizzo with the Illinois Elks Association Enrique Camarena Award at the Saturday Evening Banquet at the January State meeting. Detective Phillip Rizzo's, Enrique Camarena Award application, was submitted by Oak Lawn Elks Lodge #2254.  Kellie Hummel - ER
