John Walley DDGER (South District) and Jack Williams PER - IEA Webmaster, have a lot in common, besides their pony tails. They have a deep love and desire to help children who are less fortunate than most. Both of these Elks are growing their hair to donate to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization the accepts hair donations to make wigs for children, free of charge, who are victims of cancer. Anyone can donate their hair, but it must be at least ten (10) inches long. Visit www.locksoflove.org for more information. So the next time you see one or both of these Elks at a Lodge Meeting, District Meeting, State Meeting, or on the street, and wonder if they are reliving their youth, you will have your answer.
Credit Where Credit Is Due: John's wife and Jack's wife really deserve most of the credit for being personal hairdressers for these two. Neither one of them seem to know how to comb their hair or tie a pony tail. They readily admit it. Many thanks to their wives.
