A Heartfelt Note From A Wonderful Young Lady -
2011
This young lady, Christonia, was sponsored in the Elks Hoop Shoot Competition
by the South Central District and the Centralia Lodge.
She was the Illinois State winner in the 12-13 year old division. She went
on to the U.S. Regional HoopShoot Competition in Iowa City, but unfortunately
didn't advance to National Finals. She was a very close contender.
The thank-you note below that she sent to our State President, Kirk Wallace
and The Illinois Elks Association is quite impressive.
Her note illustrates the impressive character of this young adult and
further illustrates her hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship as well
as that of the South Central District and the Centralia Lodge.
This effort from Christonia is a tribute to all Elks involved in the
Hoop Shoot program. Congratulations Christonia!
